!ZAAK !MAGEry designed a cover for mr. Jeremy Bierbach’s dissertation. The subject of the artwork is based on the books content’. It focuses on the continuous influence between migration laws in the United States and the European Union. How these seemingly separate systems have a synergy that influences the people in them. The ghostly laws of the past build a solid base for current efforts. The stars as a common feature in either flag represent the exchange of ideas. The spine on the back of the book shows the central significance of the caribbean island of Aruba , in its unique hybrid position in the thesis.
